My Story
My name is Dani. I grew up in a family that ate mostly healthy, so that’s all I knew before I went away to college. Here’s what I mean by healthy: We were the only family I knew who regularly ate brown rice, whole wheat bread, and lots of vegetables. We didn’t have soda, fried foods, and rarely any desserts in the house. My parents greatly influenced my health choices, just like any other parents. While that sounds great, I felt deprived as a kid. Since we were that “healthy family,” I wasn’t as exposed to bad foods. I remember getting my hands on a chocolate bar and hiding it from my dad because I knew I wasn’t allowed to have it. This made me want it even more! Am I right? When we deprive ourselves of certain foods, we eventually crave them. I will help you move away from that. I learned that depriving yourself or eating in surplus isn’t sustainable for a fulfilling, healthy life. Life is all about balance, as are our choices regarding what we put into our bodies.
I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, the largest nutrition and health coaching school in the world. As the creators of the field, they have led the industry for nearly 30 years.
